If you need to install wordpress manually, there is an official WordPress guide to go through the process.

Go to the WordPress manual installation guide

Installing the theme

You can install the theme in 2 ways:

  1. Manually via FTP
  2. Dashboard, using the WordPress theme installer (easyest)

Before proceeding with the installation, put any widget into the “unused widget” section to preserve their settings, and deactivate any plugin. before reactivating your plugins or installing new ones, complete the theme installation and configuration, to be sure that none of your plugins are creating errors.

Unfortunately many of the free repository plugins contains errors, and they can cause crashes in every theme, so before opening support tickets for theme issues please try deactivating any plugin.

Fast Theme installation:

  1. in Appearance -> Themes -> Add New -> Upload
upload the themes “SLAM-child” and “SLAM“.
  2. Activate SLAM Child (in this way further customizations will be preserved)

  4. Select all the plugins

If the folder that you are going tu upload contains some zipped files, it is not the correct one. The contained .zip archive is the theme that you need to upload.
  3. Connect to your hosting using an FTP client (e.g. Filezilla is one of the best free FTP clients, you can get it here)
  4. Navigate to your WordPress installation folder (usually is not the root folder but it should be public_html, www or something else, depending on your hosting provider settings). To be sure that you are in the WordPress folder, you must see 3 folders inside:
    – wp-content
    – wp-admin
    – wp-includes
  5. Navigate into wp-content/themes
  6. Upload SLAM and SLAM_child
  7. Activate SLAM_child

  10. Click Begin Installation (Black button)
  11. WAIT until you see “Content Installed Successfully !”” (UP TO 20 MINUTES DEPENDING ON THE SERVER)
  12. When finished, go in Revolution Slider
  13. Click “Import Slider” (Green button)
  14. Go in the product folder from Themeforest, open the BONUS folder and select RevolutionSliderHome.zip
  15. Click Import Slider
  16. Go to http://qantumthemes.com/activation/ and generate your Activation Key to unlock special features.
  17. NOTE TO GENERATE THE KEY: The Envato username is case sensitive. CAPCHA: Three plus two equal: 5
  18. Use your purchase code and activation key in the QantumPanel
  19. Please read the manual

NOTE: If installing the theme with the automatic installer you get an error message “Are You Sure You Want To Do This?” it means that your server configuration doesn’t allow the upload of the file because of its size. In this case, is better to upload the theme via FTP.

    Hi There
I will be building the customer’s site on a different URL for test purposes and then migrating it to their current URL later.

    1) I have notice that certain functions like live radio streaming will not work until it is activated – is that correct?

    2) if activation occurs on the test server how do I move the licence across to the new URL and licence it for the customer again later?

    Thank you

Hi and thanks for the question.
      1. Only the Extra plugin (which is free and doesn’t constitute part of the theme) Beatport Importer in inhibited from working without an activation.
      2. There isn’t a “license” bind to the domain, is just an extra info. The license only mean you cannot have multiple published “production” sites with the same license, but there are no software restrictions upon this. You need only 1 activation key, which is connected only to the user and the purchase code.
We know is a pain, but a massive and unblock-able piracy phenomenon was cutting off nearly 80% of our sales before introducing this, so we introduced an Extra free plugin, for which we cannot even charge the people as per Beatport rules, and ask for an activation to use it.

The activation is only needed because it makes sure that the purchase code is connected to a username, so if that any pirate website publishes a purchase code and activation code, which are connected with an Envato username, we are able to track the user who physically creates pirate links.

This was the only way to block this issue and keep on providing updates and support, and without this action we could have been much better close the company and go to do something else, so I understand it may appear a pain, but technically there was no option.

Plus, none of any theme functionalities are affected by this.
In case of any problem we are always available on the support forum and via email at info@qantumthemes.com
