Hi! I’m using the latest version of slam with a child theme. Is it possible to show the latest event first? Thx!2 years, 4 months ago QantumThemes DevelopersKeymaster
Hi, events are ordered by events date, which needs to be formatted as 2016-07-06 (year month day)
If this is not happening please send and email with site access to firstname.lastname@example.org with site admin access and a link to this topic so I can check, thanks!2 years, 4 months ago stephandeutsch1Participant
(year month day) is the format we use, everything is right, I just want to have the order from asc to desc (starting with the latest event on the first page) – cant u just tell me how to modify the code for that? Would be cool

order => ASC change in DESC
hope like this is good what you meant, thanks!2 years, 3 months ago turboragsParticipant
I’m also running the child theme. I’ve changed ASC to DESC in the file eventslist_by_date.php but the event order didn’t change.<b></b><i></i><u></u>
Do I need to do any further changes?

I hope you have last version 3.3.4.
this is 3.3.5 BETA which has a small fix to have your trick working
In there for an easier events page customisation, the loops of all the custom queries are edited in a function called qw_projects_custom_number_of_posts which is in functions.php at line 265.
Copy the entire function in the functions.php of the child theme and customize the part of events
$query->set(‘order’ , ‘ASC’);
by adding the parameter of the ordering there with DESC.

Hello, one question: which part of the frontpage do you mean?
The carousel is in includes/CircularContentCarousel/carousel_events.php
you need to edit line 89
$posts_query = new WP_Query(‘post_type=event&post_status=publish&posts_per_page=’.$number_of_events_to_show.’&showposts=’.$number_of_events_to_show);
